From a league to a decision, without a black box
Four stages. Each one leaves behind something you can inspect.
The weekly loop
Import
Rosters, transactions, settings, schedule and scoring are read from your league. This is the only thing that touches Yahoo.
Model
NFL usage and projections are combined with your league’s specific settings, then the remaining season is simulated across every team — not just yours.
Rank
Waiver targets, add-drops, FAAB bids and trades are scored against your actual playoff path, including what each move denies an opponent.
Explain
The assistant reads the stored numbers and walks you through them. You decide what to do; nothing is executed for you.
Why the numbers are reproducible
Versioned models
Each figure is produced by a specific, versioned model and persisted alongside the inputs that produced it. The same inputs give the same answer next week.
Auditable runs
A run is a record, not a refresh. You can go back to the run that produced a recommendation and see what it knew at the time.
The assistant never invents a number
Language models are good at explanation and bad at arithmetic you intend to act on. The split is deliberate: the model computes, the assistant narrates.
When something is missing
Gaps are shown as gaps
A missing fact is shown as missing, never replaced with a plausible guess.
Stale data is labelled
If the league has not been refreshed since something changed, the interface says so rather than presenting an old number as current.
